Dr. Bills will discuss the impact that technological advances have had on the practice of Orthodontics, review the use of relevant, exciting, and technology-based clinical and practice management systems in the orthodontic office – experiential branding, digital workflow, efficient and effective treatment systems, remote treatment options, patient communication strategies, and more. Bio
Dr. Dan Bills is an avid (yet barely competent) golfer, boater and skier who enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife Emily and his daughter Caroline. Dr. Bills received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Lafayette College and his dental degree from Harvard University, both with Honors, after which he completed a three-year orthodontic residency at the University of Illinois. He is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a Fellow of the American College of Dentists.

He founded and maintains a state-of-the-art practice, Innovative Orthodontics, with three locations in Southern New Jersey, just outside of Philadelphia. He is on Faculty at the University of Pennsylvania, where he has been honored as “Teacher of the Year”. He lectures regularly at academic institutions and orthodontic meetings, both stateside and abroad, and gives in-office courses about a variety of clinical topics as well as how to better utilize technology in the orthodontic office. One of his greatest passions is teaching his colleagues how to work smarter and, consequently, live better.

This discussion will describe a simple digital workflow in a practice that is 97% clear aligners, from the first consult to retention. Dr. MacKenzie will describe the roles of each team member within the digital workflow and how they interact to make for a seamless patient experience. She will provide treatment planning strategies for using the Invisalign clear aligner system to create a clinically excellent result while minimizing the number of appointments and treatment time. The course will identify the clinical advantages of using Invisalign clear aligners for phase I treatment, growth modification treatment, as well as complex teen and adult malocclusions.

Bio
Dr. Liliya MacKenzie is a graduate of Mount Allison University (BSc H, MSc), McGill University (DMD) and the University of Rochester (Cert (Ortho)). She's the winner of the Thornton Gold Medal in Dentistry, the Governor General's Gold Medal and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. She is an Invisalign Diamond Plus Provider and an Align Technology Speaker. She actively participates in Invisalign study clubs, and has been involved in a clinical trial with Align Technology. Five of her cases are Invisalign Summit Shootout Semi-Finalists. She serves as the orthodontist on the Cleft Lip and Palate Team at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

Dr. MacKenzie is passionate about giving back to the community and donates orthodontic treatment for underprivileged children through Smiles4Canada, the Kiwanis Club, the Cleft Palate Team and other community organizations. Dr. MacKenzie owns a small practice with three locations around Saint John, New Brunswick and is a Mom of two teens and a toddler.

Bio
Dr. Robert Elliott is in the private practice of orthodontics in Prince George, British Columbia. He is a Clinical Instructor in the Graduate Orthodontics Department at the University of British Columbia and a guest lecturer at the Graduate Orthodontics Program at Western University. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member of the Northwest Component of the E.H.Angle Society where he serves on the Admissions Committee. Dr. Elliott has lectured extensively on different clinical topics in orthodontics in his 30-year career.

Over the course of an orthodontic career we develop, modify, and improve clinical techniques and systems to increase efficiency and improve our outcomes. These change and we replace them as new research and technology become relevant. If we do not, we run the risk of becoming complacent.

Bio
Jeremy Manuele, or “Dr. J” as he’s often referred to, is a Las Vegas native who graduated from Community College High School. In keeping with his lifelong goal of becoming an Orthodontist, he received his Bachelor of Science degree and Doctor of Dental Medicine from UNLV, graduating summa cum laude, and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society. After graduating from dental school, he was accepted to Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, where he completed a two-year residency in the specialty of Orthodontics and received extensive training in all aspects of orthodontia. Committed to maintaining excellence in his field, Dr. J teaches orthodontics part-time at the UNLV School of Dental Medicine.

Inspired by the service of his grandfather and step-father, Dr. J joined the Army National Guard when he was 17. Nine months after being married to the love of his life, Nicole, he was deployed to Ramadi, Iraq for 18 months. He served our country with the 222nd field artillery unit as a “gunner” and is currently serving as a Major in a local medical unit.

Dr. J; his wife, Nicole; and their 4 beautiful children, Bailey, Carter, Maycee, and Weston, are excited to be back home in Las Vegas. On the weekends, there’s a good chance you could run into them hiking at Mt. Charleston, biking through Red Rock Canyon, camping at Valley of Fire, or attending one of the kids’ recitals or sporting events.

Bio
Dr. Clayton Davis is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Canada focusing on TMJ surgery. He completed his undergraduate and dental degree at the University of Alberta receiving the ADA+C Gold medal award. Following this he completed his Medical Degree, Masters of Science, and Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Dalhousie University in Halifax. He then completed TMJ Fellowship training in Miami. Dr. Davis is a Fellow of the Royal college of Dentistry Canada, and an international member of the American Society of Temporomandibular Joint Surgeons. He is an associate professor at the University of Alberta Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, and TMJ surgery fellowship director. Dr. Davis is also in private practice at Kingsway Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
